Copyediting: $30/hr

A thorough edit that ensures correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, clarity, word choices, and flow, copyediting polishes a manuscript that is already structurally quite sound (though it may involve some light substantive editing). Copyediting is also called line editing.
Substantive editing: $35/hr
-
For unpublished writers who may be finalists in writing contests or have had requests for partial or full manuscripts, but for whom that first publishing contract remains elusive.
-

Writing With Fire
Nikki Arana teaches commercial story structure for character-driven fiction with dramatic issues.
One of the most common reasons emerging writers can’t break into print is that their novels are episodic. There must be not only an external story, but an indwelling story as well. Nikki teaches writers how to craft a novel by constructing a solid foundation and then building from there. She is a successful novelist, and her books have won numerous national and international awards. Contact Nikki at
